Favour Onwuka movie list
Favour Onwuka is an Afro Canadian actor, writer and director. She is best known for her work
on Dying to Belong (Lifetime Network), alongside 90120's Shannon Doherty, as well as The
Order (Netflix).
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Favour always held a deep appreciation for the performing
arts. When her family relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Favour became regularly involved in her
elementary school plays and subsequently began performing in community theatre productions,
in her teens. Soon after, she was cast in various independent films, as well as a commercial for
Much Music. Upon moving to Vancouver in 2017, Favour began to pursue acting professionally.
She studied with Deb Podwoski, as well as Benjamin Ratner, with whom she continues to train
with on a regular basis.
Favour has written and directed several short films, including Everybody Says, Lights Camera
Dream and The Igloo, which won Best Ensemble at the Joey Awards.
She has appeared in national and international commercials for major brands including Nintendo and Samsung.
Favour is passionate about telling the authentic stories of people who are not usually in the
spotlight.
Upcoming projects include a leading role in the series Trigger Me (Haven Films).
Favour Onwuka is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
